Ashton moves on a deal that Justin might share

When Ashton Kutcher (right) heard that Justin Bieber (left) was eyeing up the LA pad he’d been renting for three months the 34-year-old actor decided to secure it himself — for $10 million (£6.3 million).

His new home is close to the set of his latest TV hit, Two and a Half Men. But there are no hard feelings between the two stars. Ashton and Justin, 18, have been working together on the latest MTV series of celebrity homes show Punk’d.

They are so pally Ashton is even considering asking Bieber to become a housemate at his gorgeous retreat.

Vampire Bill is on a UK house hunt

This will set those pulses racing for Stephen Moyer fans. The True Blood actor has been spotted house hunting in Hampstead.

The UK heart-throb currently lives in an ultra-modern three-storey LA mansion with his wife and co-star Anna Paquin. But could he be missing his London roots?

The 42-year-old, who plays vampire Bill Compton in the hit HBO series, once lived in a houseboat on a London canal.

Now he is said to be in search of a four-bedroom home for about £1.7 million.

Lauren Maddox

Lauren’s apartment is the big star in Bermondsey

With no time to live in it, British actress Lauren Maddox has put her Bermondsey home on the rental market at £8,000 a week.

Her work schedule is busier than ever with new movie Fifth (starring James McAvoy) due for release early next year. She acted in, and co-produced, Another Happy Day, which featured Demi Moore and Kate Bosworth, and with offers of new roles coming in and Hollywood calling, she has made the wise decision to become a landlady.

Her Corbetts Wharf two-bedroom warehouse conversion is full of film-set mementos including tripod lights from LA studios and West End theatre lights that must be good for photo and TV shoots, as she has already leased the place to Cadbury’s, while the Royal Ballet is set to film there soon. Call Hamptons International (020 7407 3172).

Nelson’s little love nest is yours for £1.25m

A Surrey house that once belonged to Lord Nelson is for sale at £1.25 million. The six bedroom property is thought to have been a love nest for the heroic naval commander’s mistress, Lady Hamilton.

Thanks to its closeness to the Thames, Nelson could discreetly travel to the retreat by boat.

Named after a battle Julius Caesar’s army fought at the bend in the river in 54BC, Battlecrease Hall is a Georgian Grade II-listed detached family home of 4,000 sq ft set over three floors.

As well as the Nelson connection, it was also home to English writer Sir Henry Rider Haggard, a leading figure in the Lost World literary genre, who penned novels there including King Solomon’s Mines and She.

If the place floats your boat call Jackson-Stops & Staff, Weybridge (01932 821160).
