Man-hunting Caroline searches for the Xtra factor in Muswell Hill

With The X Factor in full swing, glamorous presenter of offshoot The Xtra Factor, Caroline Flack has just about found time to move flat. The 31-year-old star recently left her Camden house to rent a two-bedroom, top-floor period conversion apartment in Muswell Hill.

“I love Camden, but as I’m getting older I feel Muswell Hill is the place for me as it has everything I need: lovely restaurants, good shopping, parks - and it’s really easy to drive up to Norfolk, where my parents live.”

She is even hoping to find the man of her dreams in the area. “I’d love to settle down here, shop in Space NK and hang out with the yummy mummies,” she says.

The ITV favourite, who also hosted I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! NOW! has become so accustomed to television studio dressing rooms that she has rigged up something similar at home.

“I’ve actually created a getting-ready girl’s room.” No wonder she is looking her best. Bubbly Caroline rents in Muswell Hill with KFH for £330 a week.

SamCam lights up Downing Street with Arco style and eco-friendly bulbs

Samantha Cameron is bringing a taste of Italy to 10 Downing Street with a reproduction of the Arco floor lamp made in 1962 by Achille and Pier Castiglioni. Two of the most important designers of the 20th century, the brothers were renowned for turning everyday objects into intelligent works with an edge.

The original lamp is in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, but savvy SamCam bagged her version for £250 from Iconic Lights.

She also boosted her environmental credentials by buying low-energy bulbs.

The gym is the star attraction in Mark's mansion

Hunky A-lister Mark Wahlberg has put his Beverly Hills mansion on the market for £8.8 million. The palatial two-acre estate, in which Mark lives with wife Rhea (right) and their four children, has six bedrooms, two bathrooms and a separate two-bedroom guesthouse.

There is, of course, a swimming pool with a waterfall, a basketball court and even a putting green. But the home’s most enviable attraction is the 2,500sq ft detached gym.

This is where The Fighter actor trained for his role as boxer “Irish” Micky Ward, so it is kitted out with an impressive array of fitness facilities, including a boxing ring. A pad that packs a punch.

Rugby star Chris longs to get back to nature

England fans at the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand are in no hurry to get home, but top try scorer Chris Ashton may have an incentive - he recently snapped up a cosy property on a nature reserve in the Cotswolds and can’t wait to see his new retreat, at Lower Mill Estate (01285 869489; lowermillestate.com).

It’s a popular choice for wildlife fans including Darcey Bussell, Arlene Phillips, DJ Carl Cox and The Apprentice’s Yasmin Siadatan. The record-breaking player plans to settle in with his girlfriend Melissa (right) and bulldog Henry, describing it as “the perfect place to unwind before and after a busy period on the pitch”.

Near picturesque Cirencester, the estate is set in 550 fully maintained acres which feature beavers, otters, badgers and house martins.
