Web spy: Hollywood movers

Brad Pitt is moving his parents into the grounds of his French retreat so they can help look after the six children he has with Hollywood starlet Angelina Jolie. Pitt is said to want to spend more time in Europe and has asked his parents to make the move too.

The A-list couple are building an apartment in the grounds of their pad in the South of France for Pitt’s parents Bill and Jane. It is reported that the annexe they will live in is an old building that was formerly a dovecote.

Brad and Ange bought the 1,000-acre mansion in the south of France in 2008. They are keen to make it their main base as soon as renovations are complete. The decision was made following concerns over making their children move schools too frequently.

Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe has put his luxury Beverly Hills pad up for sale at $2.2 million (about £1.35 million). Located in the Post-Office area of Los Angeles, the Mediterranean main home and guesthouse have 2,000 square feet of living space; including three bedrooms and bathrooms. He also installed a stone hot tub on the hill above the home.

The estate agent has dubbed the outdoor space as ‘a garden of Eden.’ Maybe Metcalfe picked up tips from his role as teen gardener John Rowland on Desperate Housewives? The 32-year-old actor bought the property in 2008 for the same price at which it is listed. He is selling it to move closer to the sea where he can hear the waves.

The Hollywood heart-throb has dated a string of glamorous women including Nadine Coyle of Girls Aloud fame. Following a flirtation with the film industry, he is currently working on a new series of the TV show Dallas, to be aired in America in 2013.

A Los Angeles house that actress and singer Judy Garland once called home has come on the market at $5.5 million (about £3.37 million. The 1938 two-story property in Bel-Air was designed by Wallace Neff for Garland and her mother, who is said to have lived there until the early 1940s. Its dormer windows and white columns are set against a red-brick clad veranda.

On more than 2.5 acres, the 5,500-square-foot house has five bedrooms and six bathrooms. A swimming pool, cabana and a writer's cottage add to the elegance of the garden. The property was last sold in 1975 for $335,000 (about £205,000).
