Spot a rising star as the best graduates from our finest art colleges display their design ideas, materials, and techniques. Part 1 is for contemporary applied art — ceramics and glass, jewellery and metalwork alongside textiles, fashions and home accessories (like this coffee pot by Mirjana Smith made from recycled tins and spouts, left).

Part 2 is furniture, product design, graphics, illustration, interiors and architecture. Shop at One Year On, from 50 enterprising designers and makers who’ve set up in business in the last year.

The season’s glamorous antiques event celebrates 40 years with 200 exhibitors showing contemporary art, antiques and 20th-century furniture, glass, silver, tribal art and ceramics (like this Edwardian diamond and pink sapphire pendant, c1910, exhibited by John Joseph). There are themed free lectures and a daily tour.

After Bloomsbury: Rugs from the Omega Workshops

Set in this majestic stone building by the Thames is a show of rugs for sale organised by specialist Christopher Farr (christopherfarr.com), inspired by patterns from the famous but short-lived Omega Workshops (1913-1916) set up by Bloomsbury artist Roger Fry with contributing artists Duncan Grant and Vanessa Bell.
