Supermodel Daisy strays from the starry Primrose path

Supermodel Daisy Lowe, 21, the star of London Fashion Week, has finally abandoned Primrose Hill, the starry north London neighbourhood where she grew up with her mother Pearl Lowe and stepfather Danny Goffey. She has swapped her two-bedroom flat for a Holland Park house that she shares with her on-off boyfriend, ginger singer Will Cameron.

The move follows Daisy’s brief dalliance with New York, where she rented apartments in the East Village and Williamsburg. “When I was growing up we lived in about 16 different places, so I got used to jumping around,” she explains. The philanthropic love-child of pop singer Gavin Rossdale spends most weekends at Pearl’s Georgian home near Frome, Somerset.

Fitness trainer Angie Best is selling her remote equestrian ranch in Montana for £1 million through Aylesford. “I never have time to visit it and need the money to buy somewhere nice in Britain,” she says.

The first wife of football legend George Best currently rents a “tiny” one-bedroom stable cottage near Henley-on-Thames, shared with her greyhound Mimi and Swiss shepherd Cosmo. She runs exercise classes for locals on the nearby Culden Faw estate and plans to turn an abattoir into a gym with treatment rooms.

Will the magic name of society decorator Nicky Haslam help achieve a near-record rent of £25,000 a week for two newly renovated Park Lane penthouses overlooking Hyde Park?

“Its owner has spent almost 10 years and £8 million doing them up,” boasts Beauchamp Estates. Old Etonian and Bolton mayor’s grandson Haslam — a blend of Liberace, Quentin Crisp and Danny La Rue — numbers Charles Saatchi, Bryan Ferry, Rupert Everett and Rod Stewart among his glitzy clientele.

Tamzin Outhwaite, shortly to transfer to the West End in the hit musical Sweet Charity, has headlined in EastEnders, Hotel Babylon and The Fixer. But she sees no reason to move to somewhere trendy like Notting Hill, Chelsea or Primrose Hill. “I love Crouch End,” says the Ilford-born actress.

“It has such a villagey vibe, but it can also be funky and bohemian without being snobby. It’s also near Hampstead Heath and only 20 minutes into town.” She and her actor husband Tom Ellis live with their daughter Florence in an Edwardian terrace house, bought for £670,000 in 2006. “It’s probably worth £800,000 now,” says a neighbour.

Sotheby’s International hopes that a Russian tycoon or movie star will pay £36 million for their own private Bahamas island. The 680-acre Exumas paradise includes a seven-bedroom timber-frame mansion, a four-bedroom staff house and a two-bedroom caretaker’s cottage, plus endless sandy beaches.

Among the neighbours are David Copperfield, Johnny Depp, the Aga Khan and US country singer Tim McGraw. “The airstrip can be extended to allow for jets,” say the agents helpfully.
