Actress Dame Diana Rigg has passed away at the age of 82.
Though she shot to fame as Emma Peel in The Avengers and later starred in the James Bond classic On Her Majesty's Service, Rigg found a new generation of fans as the savage Tyrell matriarch Olenna in Game of Thrones.
First introduced to viewers in season three, Rigg's performance was highly praised by viewers, owing to her witty one-liners and cutting remarks about the many power-hungry individuals competing to rule over the Seven Kingdoms.
Indeed, her unflappable attitude and sheer devotion to her grandchildren was commendable, and made Olenna one of the most beloved characters in the entire show.
