Rupert Everett is a lifelong fan of Oscar Wilde, and after playing him in West End hit The Judas Kiss, the acclaimed British actor wrote a film script about the flamboyant author’s final years. He is keen to start shooting the movie soon and The King’s Speech star Colin Firth is thought to be attached to the project.

Everett, right, seizes every opportunity to learn more about his idol — so he will be delighted to know that a property where Wilde lived for nine years is on the market.

The one-bedroom flat on Tite Street in Chelsea is listed at £1,075,000 with Chesterton Humberts.

Located on the raised ground floor of a red-brick period building, the elegant blue plaque residence could make a great bachelor pad for the 54-year-old stage and screen star.
