Renting guide: Cricklewood

Cricklewood's rental market isn't the liveliest but there's plenty of different homes on offer, including large family homes and small studios.

Many of the Irish landlords who may have owned five or six houses locally have sold up over the last five to 15 years and moved back to Ireland. The low yield deters new buy-to-let investors.

House rentals vary in price from £1,600 a week for a seven-bedroom house in Walm Lane, to £330 a week for a two-bedroom railway cottage in Campion Terrace (Paramount 020 7372 0202). Flats range from £850 a week for a three-bedroom flat in Rondu Road to £208 a week for a one-bedroom flat on Oaklands Road (Regal Estates 020 8459 2530); studio flats go for around £170 a week.
