With Canary Wharf now an easy commute, thanks to the arrival of the East London line, Penge has become a popular rental location.

According to Natasha Osunde of sales and lettings agents Pedder, the arrival of the East London line, which has made the journey to Canary Wharf much easier, has boosted the popularity of renting. The rental on a one-bedroom flat is between £900 and £1,000 a month and for a two-bedroom flat it is around £1,200. For example, in Anerley Park, close to Crystal Palace Park, iMove (020 8166 5510) has an attractive two-bedroom flat for £1,300 a month.
