Willian has become the latest Chelsea player to declare his desire to remain at Stamford Bridge and sign a new deal.

Fellow Brazil international David Luiz revealed last week that he is close to agreeing fresh terms and Willian wants to do the same.

The 30-year-old has been at Chelsea since joining from Anzhi Makhachkala for £30million in 2013 and has won four major trophies, including two League titles, in that time.

Willian, who has attracted interest from Barcelona, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain over the last 12 months, has just over one year left on his agreement.

But the attacking midfielder sees his long-term future at Chelsea and said: “I have one year left, but of course I want to play for this club.

“I don’t know if they want me, but of course I want to continue here.

“This club is very special to me. I won titles here, I have the affection from the fans and from the people that work in the club. I feel comfortable to stay. I am happy when I play well and score goals. I can give a different light.”
