Noel Gallagher to follow in footsteps of rock royalty?

Gallagher was outbid when he tried to buy John Lennon’s flat in Montagu Square. Now another apartment on the square is on the market, will he be tempted?

Montagu Square has been home to a host of legendary musicians. Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney and Jimi Hendrix have all owned flats on the block, in addition to John Lennon and Yoko Ono whose notorious nude cover photo for their The Two Virgins album was shot at number 34.

Noel Gallagher attempted to buy Lennon’s flat in 2002. However, he was outbid by music label owner Reynold D’Silva.

Perhaps the Oasis singer should take a look at the two-bedroom top-floor apartment that is now for sale on the square with Druce for £1.325 million.

The main bedroom has lovely views over the treetops of the central garden and the property is just a five-minute walk from Selfridges.
