Homes gossip: Tulisa; Rod Stewart; Ian Astbury; Joe Wright and Anoushka Shankar
Tylisa's flashy £6 million mansion has the X Factor
X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos should have no problem settling into her new £6 million home. The Hertfordshire mansion, which has five bedrooms, a state-of-the-art gym and spa, is suitably bling. It also comes with plenty of funky spaces, including a cinema and party room, for the N-Dubz singer to entertain her friends.
But the 24-year-old star, who is in a relationship with Newcastle United footballer Danny Simpson, will have to make the most of her time there. She’ll be on the road again once her UK solo tour kicks off on March 6.
Live next to Rod Stewart on the Riviera
If you love the French Riviera and Rod Stewart, you can have a seven- bedroom villa in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, with him as your neighbour. Only 50 metres from the Maggie May singer’s house, the property for sale is part of the same swish, gated domain.
Stewart and wife Penny Lancaster, right, are often spotted shopping in La Colle sur Loup village, and the rocker plays football with seven-year-old son Alastair on the local pitch. Your new home will have a gym and swimming pool, sea views and cutting-edge security, for £5.6 million through Chesterton Humberts International (chestertonhumberts.com).
Anna Karenina director and Ravi Shankar's daughter sell their Spitalfield's home
Anna Karenina director Joe Wright and his sitar-player wife Anoushka Shankar, right, have sold up in Spitalfields. Wright, who has branched into theatre for the current production of Pinero’s Trelawny of the Wells at the Donmar Warehouse, put their house on the market for £2.75 million. It has two bedrooms, two self-contained working studios and gorgeous rustic interiors.
The word on the web is that Welsh actor Jonathan Pryce has snapped up the Grade II-listed Georgian home.
Ian Astbury's London flat is for sale
Ian Astbury of post-punk band The Cult is selling his London flat for £685,000. He has owned the Victorian apartment since the Eighties but now that he is based in America, he has put it on the market.
It’s listed with House Presso, who think the two-bedroom semi-detached flat would be a smart buy for young professionals. It needs a revamp but its handy location, close to Primrose Hill and Chalk Farm, is a big selling point.
