Homes gossip: David and Victoria Beckham; Brad Pitt; Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone; Hugo Taylor
Which of four London mansions do the Beckhams like?
Victoria Beckham has been spotted viewing luxury properties in the capital following husband David’s announcement that he is leaving his American soccer team, Los Angeles Galaxy, next month.
The 38-year-old fashion designer — whose label is doing remarkably well both here and in the US — was chauffeured between four different south London mansions in a silver Range Rover.
Viewings included a four-storey 17th-century house in Richmond worth £9 million, and a renovated £6 million pad on Clapham Common near Gordon Ramsay’s family home.
Victoria also visited a lavish Grade II-listed home in Richmond near the Thames, on the market for £18 million and featuring seven bedrooms, a wine cellar and a gym. However, the stylish mother of four is said to have been completely won over by the fourth property, with a £10 million price tag and again in Richmond, which was rented out by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie last year.
Meanwhile, her husband has ruled out retirement and speculation is rife as to where he will go for his last footballing hurrah. His fans may be watching to see where Victoria chooses as a hint to where David, 37, might end up.
Brad is part of the furniture at design company
If sleeping in Brad Pitt’s bed sounds attractive, now is the time to make your dreams come true.
The Hollywood actor (right) has made his debut as a furniture maker, collaborating with American designer Frank Pollaro, who is best known for his impressive reproductions of classic art deco pieces.
Pitt’s passion for interiors was sparked in the early Nineties when he started to take an interest in the work of artist Charles Rennie Mackintosh and architect Frank Lloyd Wright. If you fancy getting a piece of Pitt then check out pitt-pollaro.com.
Spidey must just climb out of bed
British actor Andrew Garfield and girlfriend Emma Stone (right) have bought a love nest once owned by Dudley Moore in California. The couple, who met on set when Garfield was playing Spidey in The Amazing Spider-Man, splashed out £1.5 million on the Beverly Hills house, which has four bedrooms, a pool and windows opening on to gorgeous gardens.
Garfield, who grew up in Surrey and moved to London to study at the Central School of Speech and Drama, will need the Los Angeles base with the Spiderman sequel on the way.
Hugo has a pad made in Chelsea when he gets home from the jungle
The Aussie “jungle” on ITV1’s hit show I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! must be a bit of a culture shock for Hugo Taylor (right) after living in Chelsea all his life. Brought up in Eaton Square, Taylor, 26, who cut his reality TV teeth on Made In Chelsea, was brought up a short stroll from Sussex House preparatory school, where he was a pupil.
He has been renting of late, but with an increased profile — and, hopefully, earnings — maybe he should view the ultimate Chelsea bachelor pad, on the market in Cranley Gardens (homesandproperty.co.uk/cranley).
The lavish three-bedroom apartment overlooks the sought-after square and comes with a swimming pool, Jacuzzi and steam room. Listed with Cluttons Chelsea at a cool £11 million, it has a price tag to shock even the most privileged of party boys.
But maybe Hugo could team up with best friend Spencer Matthews, whose family own the Eden Rock Hotel in St Barths, to bag the dream flat.
