Homes gossip: Daniel Radcliffe; Pamela Anderson; and the Celebrity Big Brother house
Fancy having Daniel Radcliffe for a neighbour?
The dream home for Harry Potter fans is on the market. Vine & Bell cottage in Fulham comes with Daniel Radcliffe as a neighbour.
One of the oldest residences in SW6, the Grade II-listed property has a rich history. King Charles II used the house as his summer retreat.
Just a hop on a Nimbus 2000 away from Radcliffe’s garden, it offers five reception rooms, two kitchens and a wine cellar.
All of the bedrooms are en suite, while the loft space is ideal for storing broomsticks and wands.
Listed for £4.25 million with Cluttons, this place just oozes magic.
Confident Pam didn't plan to skate back home so soon
Just when she was settling into life in the UK, Pamela Anderson goes and gets herself voted off ITV’s Dancing On Ice.
The former Baywatch beauty was so convinced she’d win the hearts of British viewers and judges she even put her American home on the rental market so she could enjoy an extra-long stint in Blighty.
Her two bedroom, 2,700sq ft Malibu pad was made available to tenants at a hefty £18,500 a month but the actress, who bought the property 13 years ago for £1.1 million, was offering plenty of glam for the rental bucks.
The Fifties-built home comes with fabulous trimmings, including a state-of-the-art private cinema and a black baby grand piano.
Cool Scandinavian edge for Celebrity Big Brother
The creative team behind the Celebrity Big Brother house at Elstree Studios have given up on glitz in favour of a cool Scandinavian look — taking a cue from hit shows The Killing and Borgen.
As well as the more obvious nods to the Nordic, such as an igloo made of real ice blocks and a mural of the Northern Lights in the garden, there are more subtle touches.
A cluster of blue-and-white cushions, striped rugs, bold-patterned throws and retro chairs contribute to a Swedish “ice hotel” feel: think Ebbe Gehl meets Marimekko. The celebs might be a bit dog-eared but the house is surprisingly sophisticated.
