New London house price report reveals the cost of buying a home in every borough

New figures reveal the average cost of buying a London home has risen by more than 10 per cent in a year to £488,782 - compared to the average across England and Wales of £183,861.

The Land Registry report, recording transactions during the month of July 2015, lists Hillingdon as the capital's fastest-growing borough, with average prices up 14.6 per cent, while Camden recorded the lowest annual growth. Kensington & Chelsea remains the most expensive prime central London area, with the average home now priced at £1.35 million.
