New figures reveal average cost of buying a London home reaches £458,000 - but which boroughs are rising the fastest?

The latest Land Registry data reveals the average cost of buying a London home has risen by 12 per cent in the past year to £458,283, despite a small monthly decrease of 0.2 per cent. London's Olympic borough, Newham, recorded the largest annual price growth of 23.4 per cent, while Kensington and Chelsea recorded the lowest annual growth over the past 12 months. Barking and Dagenham is the most affordable borough to buy a home, with an average price of  £270,256.
