Fulham have complete the signing of goalkeeper Alphonse Areola on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.

The France international, who was also offered to Arsenal, arrives at Craven Cottage on an initial one-year loan deal with Scott Parker's side holding the option to make the move permanent.

Areola told FFCtv: “I am very happy everything is done. Scott Parker called me and I had a good feeling. He said he really wanted me.

“Fulham is a historic club in London and I have heard a lot about the stadium.

“I hope this season will be a good one for us. I want to bring my energy and do everything for this team to keep us where we belong to be.”

Fulham are also close to sealing deals for two right-backs as they move in on former Chelsea man Ola Aina and Lyon's Kenny Tete.

Scott Parker is keen to bolster his squad ahead of their return to the Premier League, but is wary of repeating the spending spree of two years ago which contributed to their relegation.

Fulham have already completed deals for young full-back Antonee Robinson from Wigan and midfield duo Harrison Reed and Mario Lemina, both from Southampton.
