Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly sell their New York home
British actor Paul Bettany and his glam Hollywood wife Jennifer Connelly are selling their New York penthouse. With a rumoured fourth child on the way they must be hoping to upgrade to a more spacious home. The cute couple bought the three-bedroom Tribeca pad in 2008 and think it is now worth a cool £5.4 million.
One of its most impressive features is a 1,380sq ft private outdoor roof space, with jaw-dropping views of the city. And who could resist its Hudson River outlook? The secretive stars haven’t confirmed where they are hoping to move. But with a string of new movies on the agenda, including The Avengers, out on April 27, Paul won’t be rushing home to Shepherd’s Bush any time soon.

Jamie Oliver joins forces with American restauranteur to open Union Jacks
Jamie Oliver’s new best foodie friend is American restaurateur Chris Bianco. So close are the pair that they have opened a British pizzeria chain together - Union Jacks. And it looks like Bianco plans to make himself at home in the UK. He has been spotted at United House’s residential development at Central St Giles (csglondon.com) where only one gorgeous penthouse remains available - at £5.5 million.
The property occupies the entire 11th floor of the building and has a private roof terrace with views over the capital. It is ideally placed for the flagship Union Jacks eaterie — a striking, glass and ceramic building in yellow, orange and green, at nearby Seven Dials. Bianco is owner and head chef of Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix, Arizona, which US cooking queen Martha Stewart considers “one of the world’s best pizzerias”.
Here's a chance to sleep in Ulrika's bedroom
Fancy living in Ulrika Jonsson’s old house? The five-bedroom Berkshire home, which the TV personality sold 18 months ago, is now available to rent.
Set in picturesque Cookham Dean, it was home to the Swedish presenter for 13 years. She has since moved into a £1.9 million property near Henley, which she and husband Brian Monet have given a £500,000 revamp.
But it is little wonder Ulrika was sad to leave her former pad. It has lovely views and a cosy cottage drawing room with an open fireplace — the perfect weekend retreat for a busy Londoner. Hamptons International seeks £4,950 a month (01628 482 598; hamptons.co.uk).
Sensible choice for Rickie
TV and radio favourite Rickie Haywood-Williams, 31, has bought his first house. The E4, BBC 3 and Kiss FM presenter (one half of Rickie & Melvin) has bagged a £300,000 London love nest with his girlfriend. He purchased the South Norwood eco-home from Wooster & Stock (020 7708 6700; woosterstock.co.uk) after deciding he’d had enough of renting.
“I loved my super-sleek place in Islington but I really wanted a place of my own and I knew that, to be able to afford it, I had to look at least 20 to 30 minutes outside the centre of the capital. “My new place ticks all the boxes. It’s modern, spacious, secluded and quiet, yet a simple commute from W1. It was also ready to move into and close to my family and roots.” Rickie’s new home has two bedrooms and a large open-plan living area with additional mezzanine living space. There is also a private courtyard and the master bedroom has an en-suite wetroom.
