Only One Direction - head for Friern Barnet
If only the walls of north London’s Princess Park Manor could talk. It’s where Ashley Cole first met Cheryl in 2004 when they were both living in the luxury Friern Barnet complex. Fast forward to this year and Ashley’s former flat is home to One Direction.
Simon Cowell’s pop protégés are renting the plush penthouse for £3,000 a week. But two of the band members - 17-year-old Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, 20 - are so taken with the pad that they want to buy it. With sell-out tour dates (including HMV Apollo on Sunday) and a hit album under their belts, the boys are ready to splash out £3 million between them. Not bad for a first-time buy.
If living among chart-toppers and footballers appeals, Foxtons New Homes (020 7973 2020, www.foxtons.co.uk) is selling a range of modern two-bedroom flats at Princess Park Manor from £400,000-£649,000. There is also a three-bedroom flat available for £399,000.

Paris’s old Hollywood crib is yours to rent
Paris Hilton’s former home is available to rent - and it is every bit as glamorous as you would expect. There’s just one catch, you’ll need to find £10,400 a month to live in it.
The four-bedroom house that Paris once paraded on MTV’s Cribs show is the ultimate in extravagance, from its designer shoe closet to the picturesque pool with cabanas. The Spanish-style Twenties pad sits in the hills of West Hollywood, with party central Sunset Strip on its doorstep.
Paris’s uncle, high-end estate agent Mauricio Umansky (www.theumanskygroup.com) is handling the listing. A reality star in his own right, Mauricio is currently on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (Bio TV) with wife Kyle Richards.
