Myleene Klass's home sells for £700,000 less than the asking price

Myleene Klass’s Hertfordshire home has sold for £700,000 less than the asking price. But the singer must be relieved to pass on the keys to the five-bedroom house, which she put on the market for £2.5 million last June following her split from security guard husband Graham Quinn.

The mum-of-two now seems perfectly settled in her £8,000-a-month rental home in north London. She decided to move back to the capital to start a new life with her daughters, Hero, aged two, and five-year-old Ava, who she has enrolled in an independent day school in the area.

The musician, presenter and media personality has also found time to stay on top of her career. Her new book, Things To Make and Do With Your Children, comes out in June, and her Littlewoods fashion collection is flourishing.

Daniel Day-Lewis's grandfather's house is for sale

A house that belonged to the grandfather of best actor Oscar winner Daniel Day-Lewis has recently gone under off for £3.5 million. Sir Michael Balcon, an Ealing Studios producer, lived in the six-bedroom property in Hartfield, East Sussex, after the Second World War. Locals remember great parties at the house during Balcon’s time there, and the young Day-Lewis is said to have paid frequent visits.

More recently, the home was owned by musician Alan Parsons, who has produced albums for everyone from The Beatles to Pink Floyd.

With an equestrian centre and tennis court in its grounds, the dream country mansion also has the advantage of being less than an hour’s train commute from London Victoria or London Bridge.

Tommy Lee Jones is selling his Florida ranch

Tommy Lee Jones, who starred alongside Daniel Day-Lewis in Lincoln, has put his Florida home on the market for £17.6 million.

The 66-year-old actor bought the property for £3.02 million a decade ago. But he has spent millions upgrading the ranch and its facilities, which include state-of-the-art stables and a polo field. There are also four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Currently directing and acting in The Homesman, his new film with Meryl Streep and Hilary Swank, when Jones gets some down time he will still have a choice of places to relax. He owns a cattle ranch outside San Antonio, Texas, as well as a home in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Kiss FM DJ Justin Wilkes has built his own high-tech home

Kiss FM DJ Justin Wilkes has a penchant for property. The breakfast presenter has just put the finishing touches to a home he built himself.

But despite dazzling results, the six-bedroom house had its challenges. Thames Ditton Residents Association was against the idea of development. So Wilkes worked with members and a retired architect friend to find a solution that keeps everyone happy.

The traditional exterior hides an ultra-modern space, controlled via an iPad and iPhone. He can listen to any radio station in the world in any room, and play his entire library of 50,000 tracks at the touch of a button.
