Donnington Hall for Liz and Shane

From Glorious Goodwood to Ascot, Liz Hurley loves spending a day at the races, even bringing her fiancé Shane Warne along for the ride. So it is little wonder that the couple could not resist Donnington Hall, in Herefordshire.

Surrounded by its own pasture, the 187-acre equestrian estate comes with Edwardian stables and a coach house.

The fairy-tale home, estimated to be worth £6 million, is a beautiful example of the Georgian period with opulent architecture, vaulted ceilings and marble fire-surrounds.

There is an abundance of space for family and friends, including Hurley’s son Damian and Warne’s three children. The main house has 14 bedrooms and a separate nanny wing with its own suite and sitting room. There are also four cottages, a private lake and tennis courts in the grounds. A palatial pad.

Adam marooned in Beverly Hills

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine has splashed out on a lavish Beverly Hills estate. The Moves Like Jagger singer’s new pad is set in a gated community and comes with a private swimming pool and tennis court.

Built in the Forties and sold for $4.8 million (£3 million), it resembles a ranch and has plenty of room for guests, with six bedrooms and seven bathrooms.

Levine had better make the most of home comforts as he will be back on the road with his band from February.

In pole position for a life down on the farm

Fast-car fans might like to absorb a bit of the winning spirit of racing driver Sir Stirling Moss. His daughter is selling her picturesque property.

Allison Bradley has put Sothenbury Farm, in the prestigious Scaynes Hill area in West Sussex, on the market for £1.3 million with Hamptons. Visit Bradley has decorated the seven-bedroom family home with many personal childhood pictures posing in her dad’s racing cars.

Although the memorabilia doesn’t come with the asking price, the spacious master suite and beautiful outdoor terrace should drive buyers in their direction.
