Fulham are close to sealing deals for two right-backs as they move in on former Chelsea man Ola Aina and Lyon's Kenny Tete.

Scott Parker is keen to bolster his squad ahead of their return to the Premier League, but is wary of repeating the spending spree of two years ago which contributed to their relegation.

Former Ajax man Tete, who was part of the Netherlands squad for their Nations League games this month, has reportedly completed a medical in west London, while the Whites want to bring in Aina, who rose through the ranks at Chelsea before joining Torino, on loan with an option to buy.

Fulham have already completed deals for young full-back Antonee Robinson from Wigan and midfield duo Harrison Reed and Mario Lemina, both from Southampton.

Parker's side are also favourites to complete a deal for Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, who has also been offered to Arsenal should Emiliano Martinez be sold.

Should Parker bring in another, more experienced goalkeeper, it is thought Marcus Bettinelli, who started their last Premier League season as first choice before quickly falling down the pecking order, will join Middlesbrough on a season-long loan.
