Is X Factor singer Leona on Run back to Britain?

Following huge success in America, Leona Lewis ditched Hackney for Hollywood, but could she be suffering from homesickness?

The former X Factor winner only moved into her dream LA mansion last year but has put it on the market for £1.56 million.

The 3,946sq ft four-bedroom home off Mulholland Drive has a pop diva’s essential; the ultimate pampering powder room.

The singer, whose hits include Run and Happy, has gone for a sophisticated cream, beige and white interior while outside there’s a big pool, guest house, cabana and built-in barbecue.

So will this mean a return to the UK for our Leona?

Caprice

Bedding down with Caprice

Home-loving supermodel-turned-celebrity businesswoman Caprice has just has launched her own bedding range. The savvy star insists that the bedroom is the focal point in any house. “After a long day there is nothing better than climbing into bed with my chihuahua and zoning out watching frivolous TV.”

Originally from California, she now splits her time between a detached, seven-bedroom, five-bathroom 7,000sq ft mansion on a private Surrey estate, and her three-bedroom, two-bathroom privately gated London apartment. “I bought my Surrey home seven years ago and I have lived in my London base for about eight months,” she says.

Her favourite designer for the Surrey house is Ralph Lauren, “with lots of rich colours, drapes of fabric, big, grand furniture and huge beds — I bought all the furniture in America. But the London home is very modern.”

She is still not settled, however, and always on the look out for a new investment. “I’m likely to move house again in the next couple of years. I’m planning on buying another London property.”

Stars check out a Fiennes apartment in Marylebone

As one door closes another opens for actor Ralph Fiennes. He is about to hit the big screen as Lord Voldemort for the last time in Harry Potter’s final instalment, but rumours are rife that the Bond team are keen to snap him up to play the next villain. While Hollywood execs are busy planning his next step, he is busy eyeing up London’s property market.

The British actor has expressed interest in one of Marylebone’s most prestigious mansion blocks. The elegant two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment in Mansfield Street also has a big double reception room and a large kitchen.

Listed for £2.95 million, one of the biggest selling points for the A-list star must be the benefit of a 24-hour porter. Celebrity neighbours include Take That’s Jason Orange, who has a flat just around the corner, and musician Noel Gallagher.

A move would be convenient for Fiennes, who is starring in Trevor Nunn’s The Tempest at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in August.

But he should act quickly if he wants the pad: Tom Jones has also viewed it — and liked it.
