Duff dips price to sell her Los Angeles pad
Pregnant singer Hilary Duff has re-listed her Los Angeles home for £3.9 million. Originally on the market for £4.5 million, she is keen to shift the 9,277sq ft property and has lowered the price.
Duff, 24, first acquired the Toluca Lake home as the teen star of Disney’s Lizzie McGuire but she’s now hunting for a family pad to share with her husband and new arrival.
That’s not to say her current abode lacks space. The five-bedroom, six-bathroom home includes an office, library, gym, billiard room and even a cognac-tasting room and wine cellar. With her own clothing line and an abundance of celebrity frocks to store, it is little wonder she has installed huge walk-in closets.

Strictly business as Savage sells his Cheshire mansion
Strictly Come Dancing star Robbie Savage (pictured with dance partner Ola Jordan) has put his five-bedroom, five-bathroom Cheshire mansion on the market.
The former footballer has listed the Prestbury property, in which he currently lives with his wife Sarah and two sons, with Savills Cheshire (01625 417 450, savills.co.uk) for £2.2 million.
Built 10 years ago, Sandburn is a stunning, glass-fronted home arranged over three floors with balconies and an alfresco entertaining area.
Oscar winner’s former home an A-list destination
A Kensington house with Hollywood history is up for sale. The four-bedroom, three-bathroom Peel Street home was once owned by actor and director John Schlesinger and was frequented by many of his A-list friends, from Dustin Hoffman to Julie Christie.
Schlesinger lived in the gorgeous pad during the most prolific period of his career; when he was awarded an Oscar for his internationally acclaimed feature film Midnight Cowboy in 1969. The lower ground floor even doubled as a premiere location when Schlesinger transformed it into a movie room for the first screening of the film.
Such was Schlesinger’s success that the Directors Guild of Great Britain has been keen to acknowledge the residence with a memorial plaque.
It is for sale for £3.45 million with Knight Frank Kensington (020 7938 4311, knightfrank.co.uk)
Dragon’s Den star Devey’s city apartment could turn out to be just the business
Now her £2.2 million Staffordshire estate is on the market, Dragon’s Den star Hilary Devey will be spending an increasing amount of time in her London apartment. The feisty Pall-Ex boss has proved a hit on the BBC Two programme, filmed in Pinewood Studios.
The Edgware Road flat may not have the sprawling grounds and ample space of Rangemore Hall, listed with Fisher German (01785 220 044, fishergerman.co.uk), but it is just as extravagant with bold and lavish interiors, that may not, she admits, be to everybody’s taste.
Ever the workaholic, there is only so much down-time Devey can take. So the flat, which she has dubbed her “business pad”, also doubles as an office. As a savvy investor, it is little wonder that Devey has a strong property portfolio that includes villas in Morocco and Spain.
