Eagle-eyed fans of Inspector Morse — played by the late John Thaw, below — may recognise Warwick Square Mews. The striking property was used as an internal and external filming location during series three of the TV crime drama.

The Pimlico residence has had renovations to combine a mews house with a lower ground-floor flat, and is for sale with Douglas & Gordon and Knight Frank for £3.15 million.

The three-bedroom house has access to exclusive private gardens and a tennis court. It is ideally located — close to the thriving area surrounding Victoria station as well as the shops, bars and restaurants of Belgravia and Sloane Square.
