Was L’Wren taking the Mick with that price?
Mick Jagger’s 6ft 4ins girlfriend, L’Wren Scott, has finally reduced the price of her Los Angeles bachelor-pad after 12 fallow months on the market at a gimmicky $999,999.
“She’s now prepared to listen to offers,” explains an insider. “A price of $750,000 to $800,000 might find favour as California is suffering from its own property slump. But she still stands to make a good profit as she bought it for only $255,000 in 1996.”
A recent visitor described the three-bedroom Twenties Bronson Canyon property as “Boho chic meets Moorish manor-house meets Paris flea-market”.
Utah-born L’Wren, a wacky former catwalk model, Prada PR and stylist to actresses of the ilk of Julianne Moore and Nicole Kidman, has dated Jagger for eight years. She recently launched her own fashion range for Hollywood A-streamers. But her major ambition must be to make an honest man of Mick — as Lady Jagger.

The gentle Australian-born snapper is the partner of West End impresario Sir Cameron Mackintosh, who is not short of luxury pads with a portfolio that includes homes in London, Somerset, Scotland, Malta and New York.
“Michael kept Islington as his special little bolt hole,” reports a friend. “But he and Cameron are devoted to each other so he saw no reason to cling onto it.”
Mackintosh, whose money-spinning productions include Les Miserables, Miss Saigon and Mary Poppins, is ranked 146th in the Rich List with a £350 million fortune.
With no general election date fixed, Tory parliamentary candidate Amber Rudd has already moved permanently to her Hastings and Rye constituency.
She paid £355,000 for a four-bedroom Victorian pad in Hastings High Street, which she shares with the two teenage children Flora and Alistair from her shortlived marriage to Fleet Street’s highest-paid scribe AA Gill.
“But I’m renting out my Earl’s Court flat just in case,” admits the sassy venture capitalist turned media headhunter.
Granddaughter of legendary stockbroker Anthony Rudd and sister of top City PR-man Roland Rudd she is a close ally of Tory leader David Cameron. Her seat is very marginal with Labour MP Michael Foster only having a majority of 2,026.
The knitwear queen, Mary-Adair Macaire, has begun house-hunting by the seaside. “I’d like to buy somewhere on the beach,” she says. “I want to find my Nantucket here.”

The glam new Pringle of Scotland chief executive, whose current ad campaign features models Daisy Lowe and Pixie Geldof, recently moved from Paris to a Belgravia flat close to her Sloane Street HQ.
The Isle of Wight may now beckon.
