Will Sharon and Ozzy pay a lotto for a grotto?
What do Christina Aguilera and The Osbournes have in common? A penchant for the same property, it seems.
Following reports that the recently divorced Dirrty singer was putting her 8,900sq ft Beverly Hills mansion on the market, after buying it from Sharon and Ozzy in 2008, the latest talk is that the previous owners are keen to buy back their old home.
Sharon has been spotted visiting the extravagant estate, which is valued at £8.4 million, with an agent. After originally snapping up the place in 1999 for £3.9 million, Sharon and her Prince of Darkness husband sold it to Aguilera for £6.8 million.
Let’s hope the singer’s subsequent renovations are to the vintage rock couple’s taste. The six-bedroom, 10-bathroom house has been given a complete makeover and now includes a guest house and a “grotto pool” complete with a waterfall.
So as the Burlesque star, apparently keen to move in with her new man Matthew Rutler, has a fresh start, this could signal a new chapter for the Osbournes, too. We may even see the return of their successful MTV reality TV series, which was filmed in the very same property. Stranger things have happened in Tinseltown...
If you think you’re rushed off your feet, spare a thought for Guy Ritchie. Following his announcement that girlfriend Jacqui Ainsley is pregnant, he has some decisions to make about living arrangements. The model has reportedly put her flat in Southend, Essex, on the market so it makes sense to move into the film-maker’s £6 million Marylebone mansion.
Madonna’s ex, Ritchie, has only just managed to evict the squatters who recently moved into the Grade-I listed house, so it will no doubt need sprucing up. He’ll still find time, no doubt, for his next directing project - expected to be a remake of Arthurian sword legend Excalibur, set for release next year.
Glamorous TV presenter Mariella Frostrup, who bought her first property in her twenties, is hoping to move closer to London.
The mum of two and her human rights lawyer husband, Jason McCue, currently live in rambling farmhouse in Ayrshire, Scotland.
But things could change if Frostrup has her way. The Book Show host has revealed that she wants to be within easy reach of the capital for work and thinks a house in Oxfordshire, near the train station and a 90-minute commute from central London, would be difficult to beat.
Twilight actor Robert Pattinson made £18.3 million last year, placing him firmly up the Hollywood rich list, but the dazzlingly pretty 24-year-old Londoner is in no rush to invest his huge earnings in property.
Known for fiercely guarding his private life, he admits he is afraid a permanent home might allow the paparazzi to track him easily.
Instead, the former pupil of The Harrodian School in Barnes changes his base regularly to keep snappers off his scent.
