A house just opposite the late Margaret Thatcher’s Chelsea home is up for sale. The former PM lived in super-smart Chester Square for more than 20 years and it has recently become a place of pilgrimage, with visitors leaving floral tributes.
Other high-profile people who have owned houses in the square include Roman Abramovich, Nigella Lawson and Sir Mick Jagger. Now number eight is on the market for £20 million.
The stucco-fronted townhouse, listed with Simon Barnes, overlooks the prestigious garden square. With five recently renovated bedrooms, a steam room, pool and roof terrace, the four-storey building is the height of luxury.
