On the south-east corner of St George’s Square in a listed Thomas Cubitt townhouse, Savills (020 7409 8756) is selling the remaining two of eight flats in a completed development. Each has three bedrooms and the price is £2,225,000.
At Moore House, the block of 153 flats that marks the entrance to the Grosvenor Riverside development on Ebury Bridge Road, developer St James is selling the last four flats in the entire scheme. Prices range from £810,000 for a one-bedroom flat to £2 million for a three bedroom flat.
Ebury Square in nearby Belgravia is a Berkeley Homes development of 71 one-to four-bedroom flats and five-bedroom penthouses, ranging in price from £1.95 million to £24 million. The first residents move in this summer.
There is a lot of new homes activity in nearby Victoria and Westminster. In John Islip Street, in the heart of Westminster, Berkeley Homes has demolished a couple of tired office blocks and is building Abell & Cleland, two new residential buildings with a total of 277 one-, two- and three-bedroom flats and four- and five-bedroom penthouses (020 7720 4000). Flats in the first phase, Abell House, are being sold off-plan at prices ranging from £1.81 million for a two-bedroom duplex to £2,305,000 for a three-bedroom flat. Penthouses are also available but prices are not being revealed. The first residents are due to move in during the winter next year.
In Horseferry Road, The Courthouse (020 7821 2277) is a Barratt London development of 129 flats that will be completed this summer. Eighteen flats and three penthouses remain with prices ranging from £665,000 for a studio to £1.95 million for a three bedroom flat, while the penthouses range from £5 million to £6.5 million. At 73 Great Peter Street, Jones, Lang La Salle (020 3053 0742) is selling 22 flats and two penthouses off-plan at prices ranging from £1 million for a one-bedroom flat to £4 million for a four-bedroom penthouse, for completion by summer next year.
In Victoria Street, King’s Gate (Savills 020 7409 8756) is a Land Securities development of 100 flats selling off-plan for completion in summer next year. Only three-bedroom flats remain, with prices starting at £3,265,000.
In the longer term, the whole of this corner of south central London will feel the impact of the Chelsea Barracks development on Chelsea Bridge Road, and the arrival of the American and Dutch embassies and the accompanying new homes at Nine Elms on the opposite side of the river.
