Hipster hangout: New Cross new homes launch set to coincide with night Overground service start in December 2017

The Overground line linking previously unconnected east and south London has created an axis between Dalston and New Cross, with hipsters from both areas boarding the Tube to visit bars, clubs and music venues.

The flow of people will increase from December when all-night services are introduced along this section of the route, followed next year by an extension to Highbury & Islington.

New Cross is swinging into fashion as a cool place to live as well as hang out, with a creative vibe rippling out from Goldsmiths College.

Property is relatively cheap and it is one of the best-connected areas of London, with six-minute trains to London Bridge.

New homes were scarce but are now arriving in big numbers as developers tap into demand.

Bond House, right next to New Cross Gate Tube station, will have 89 flats plus affordable studios for artists and a ground-floor double-height gallery.

The launch is later this year. To register, visit Crest Nicholson.
