London Evening Standard New Homes Awards 2015: enter now

We're seeking entries from house builders for the coveted 2015 London Evening Standard New Homes Awards.
Grand Prix winner 2014: niche developer Richstone Properties impressed the judgest last year with an eco-friendly scheme of four houses and two flats squeezed into a garden plot in East Sheen.

The countdown has started for the 2015 London Evening Standard New Homes Awards, a highlight in the property calendar.

Now is the time for developers, big and small, to submit projects. Our awards are the most coveted in the housebuildng industry, providing an opportunity for developers and architects to showcase homes of outstanding quality and get recognition from the people who matter most - the buying public.
Judging is completely independent and decided by a panel of property experts and London Evening Standard readers with recent buying experience.
Awards are given across 13 categories and embrace the entire housing spectrum, from first-time buyer flats to one-off luxury mansions; city-centre high-rise developments to conversions in the countryside and commuter belt; and boutique apartment schemes to large-scale regeneration projects. Refurbishments and restorations qualify as well as new-builds.

The closing date for entries is February 6, 2015.

Housing associations are encouraged to enter our awards too, and we look forward to receiving submissions for shared-ownership homes and affordable housing initiatives that help renters and those taking their first steps onto the property ladder.
Award winners will be homes and developments that stand out from the pack and chime with modern lifestyles.
Projects are judged according to set criteria, including design flair, space planning, eco-friendly features, technological innovation and quality of materials. Above all, winners will have to demonstrate “value for money”, giving lower-priced homes a chance to shine and win an award.

Berkeley First's waterfront development, Marina Heights at Victory Pier, Kent, scooped the 2014 award for the Best First-time Buy. The judges loved the stunning views and said the building had a “boutique hotel” feel.

Excellence in housebuilding is about more than classy interior design and eye-catching or inventive architecture; it is how new-builds and conversions fit into the context of an area, enhance a neighbourhood and bring something fresh, perhaps new amenities or green space for the wider community.
The 2015 Awards include an exciting new category - home or development of outstanding architectural merit - while each category winner is automatically considered for the prestigious Grand Prix Award, the overall winner.
Do show off your entries in the best possible way, with high-quality photography and lucid descriptions. Tell us about the architectural ambitions and the construction challenges that have been overcome.
Award winners will be announced at a glittering gala luncheon taking place at the Dorchester Hotel on May 15, 2015.
The closing date for entries is February 6, 2015.
