Fulham vs Arsenal - LIVE!

Arsenal's debutants starred as they kicked off their Premier League season with a comfortable 3-0 victory over recently-promoted Fulham.

Willian finished his first match since the move across London from Chelsea with three assists, while Gabriel headed home Arsenal's second to start his own Gunners career in ideal fashion.

Fulham's return to the top-flight got off to a difficult start when Alexandre Lacazette capitalised on a loose ball in the eighth minute to give the Gunners an encouraging beginning to the new season.

Gabriel's header after half time strengthened Arsenal's grip on the game and was quickly followed up by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's curled strike which secured all three points.

Simon Collings is at Craven Cottage, with Malik Ouzia running you through the action...

14 mins: As you'd expect, the goal has rather settled Arsenal and they're moving the ball quite nicely now.

It looks very strange seeing Willian in an Arsenal shirt, by the way, even if it is a blue one.

Simon Collings is at Craven Cottage

That's a big goal for Lacazette. There were question marks over his form last season - and he's been linked with a move this summer - but he's broken the deadlock here.

GOAL! | Fulham 0-1 Arsenal | Alexandre Lacazette 9'

Arsenal are up and running!

It's a bit of a scrappy goal but the Gunners won't care one bit. Aubameyang cuts back for Xhaka, who rather scuffs his effort but it falls for Willian six yards out. Rodak dives at his feet to block but it break to Lacazette a yard out and he bundles home.

12 September 2020

7 mins: Tidy enough start by Fulham, who look well-organised, as you'd expect from a side largely made up of the same players that earned promotion a little over a month ago.

12 September 2020

2 mins: Gabriel has started in the centre of that three-man defence, with Kieran Tierney on his left and Rob Holding on his right.

Oh my word! He's almost got his Arsenal career off to an abysmal start. Maitland-Niles plays a bit of a nothing back pass and but Gabriel just completely leaves it to Leno and Kamara nips in. He tries to round the 'keeper and Leno makes an excellent low block but Fulham should really be ahead.

KICK-OFF!

The Premier League season is underway...

12 September 2020

Simon Collings is at Craven Cottage

After their spat in the warm-up, Ceballos and Nketiah are out on the bench. They're sat at opposite ends though...interesting to see what Arteta says about the incident at full-time.

12 September 2020

Here we go then, the teams are on their way out at Craven Cottage, a top flight stadium again after a season in the second tier.

12 September 2020

Arsenal substitutes Eddie Nketiah and Dani Ceballos have just had a little bit of argie bargie in the warm-up after the Spaniard went in hard with a late challenge. Handbags.

Scott Parker talking to BT Sport about his team selection...

"We brought some players in and at this moment in time a lot of the players we brought in are not physically ready. We're trying to set a culture at this club where you work hard, train hard and you get rewarded."

...and Mikel Arteta about Bernd Leno being his number one:

"We have a special situation at the moment in goal. Obviously the transfer market is open and we know all the rumours. We made a decision to start Bernd today."
