High-rise apartments in Stratford

This 42-storey tower comprises of 248 apartments which range from studios to penthouses. The block boasts three open-air gardens and even its own hotel.
If anyone can bring glamour to fast-moving Stratford it is Harry Handelsman, the “king of Clerkenwell cool” and the man behind Marylebone’s hot Chiltern Firehouse restaurant, as well as the epic restoration of St Pancras Chambers. His latest project, adding a spot of glamour in the East End, is
Manhattan Loft Gardens.

This shimmering, cantilevered 42-storey tower has 248 apartments and incorporates a hotel and three open-air sky gardens. Designed by renowned global architects SOM, the tower’s simple form conceals complex geometric engineering that allows a façade of transparent and solid panels of glass and terracotta. Sky gardens are a modern take on traditional London garden squares, while the triple-height entrance lobby links with a piazza to provide an impressive sense of arrival.

High-spec apartments, right, range from studios to penthouses. These double-height spaces have expensive interior design — a look that might be described as “Milan-modern”. The building overlooks the Olympic Park and is moments from Westfield shopping mall and Stratford International train station. Prices from £400,000. Call 020 7531 2512.
