Greenwich Square, being built on the site of a former district hospital, aims to plug the gap between the gracious old naval town's historic centre and the O2 arena, a mile away.
The development is being trumpeted as a new hub, with more than 500 homes, a new public square, shops, bars, restaurants and a leisure centre. Trains from nearby Maze Hill station to London Bridge take 11 minutes.
Apartments and maisonettes with gardens are being launched next week.
Prices from £545,000.
