Brentford waited a long time for a fashionable new apartment scheme but like London buses, several have come along at once.
A disused factory on the high street is getting a fresh lease of life as Kew Reach, with 47 riverside flats grouped around a new garden square. Bellway, the developer, is extending the riverpath via a cantilevered walkway. Prices start at £294,995. Call 0845 676 0255.
Brentford Lock West has 530 townhouses and flats, part of an 11-acre project on the banks of the Grand Union Canal. One of the development partners is Canal and River Trust, formerly British Waterways.
New moorings, pontoons and a footbridge are being created, the towpath is being widened and Art Deco warehouses refurbished. Homes, from £284,950, have high energy-efficiency ratings, rooftop allotments and solar panels.
Kew Bridge West looks across the Thames to the Royal Botanic Gardens. Crisply designed blocks have corner towers with curved-wall flats and terraces. Prices from £345,000.
