Queen's Park in north-west London sits between Kilburn and Kensal Rise and has a bustling, village-like feel, thanks to a busy Sunday farmers’ market and the 30 acres of open parkland in its midst. And yet the area's transport links mean the West End is within a swift 15-minute commute.

Recent regeneration has added contemporary new homes to the area's rows of well-kept Victorian and Edwardian terrace houses, while Salusbury Road - the main shopping street - has a good choice of independent shops, delis, cafés and restaurants.
