Hot homes: in south-west London under £250,000

This week we take a property tour of south-of-the-river hotspots, starting in Vauxhall, and taking in Battersea, Clapham, Wandsworth, Tulse Hill, Streatham and Wimbledon.
South-west London is having a moment as Battersea becomes the capital’s biggest regeneration zone, gaining a much-anticipated Northern line extension and possibly a new Thames bridge to connect the area to Pimlico’s waterfront.

Other south-of-the-river hotspots are attracting young buyers to areas such as Wandsworth, Clapham, Balham, Streatham and Wimbledon, too. We take a property tour with a budget of £250,000 to find good-value flats within period conversions and new homes in leafy south-west London neighbourhoods.
