As Olympic fever spreads, thousands of spectators who missed out on tickets for the Games are soaking up the infectious atmosphere of London 2012 in the capital's outdoor spaces.

One of the closest open-air venues to Stratford's Olympic Village is Victoria Park – a historic, 213-acre green space in the heart of east London. Giant outdoor screens are showing the best of the sporting action at BT London Live (until August 12), with temporary bars and live music adding to the jubilant summer festival feel.
We take a property tour around the northern edge of this popular park, taking in the vibrant neighbourhoods of Hackney Wick and Victoria Park village, and discover artists' studios, designer boutiques, specialist interior shops and thriving local pubs, bars and restaurants - as well as a choice of spacious warehouse conversions, new homes for first-time buyers and striking period homes with coveted views of the park itself.
