Expert organisers Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin’s new eight-part series Get Organized with The Home Edit is coming to Netflix today, September 9.

Self-described “California transplants” living in Nashville, the two were introduced by a mutual friend and – four hours later – decided to start The Home Edit: an organisational service for any or all rooms in your home.

What is The Home Edit?

The decluttering gurus have grown their successful business The Home Edit through Instagram, transforming clients’ homes with clever storage tricks and their now-legendary rainbow colour co-ordination skills.

Today, The Home Edit Instagram account has over 1.7 million followers and loyal celebrity fans rave about the duo’s life-changing ideas and products, most of which are now for sale at John Lewis and on The Collection Store.

Published last year, Clea and Joanna's book The Home Edit: A Guide to Organising and Realising Your House Goals was a New York Times best seller.

Also last year, in August, they teamed up with Hollywood actress Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine media company and producer Molly Sims to start work on the Netflix series.

What's the Netflix series about?

Each hour-long episode follows Clea and Joanna's transformation of two homes – with clients ranging from everyday families to big-name celebrities with huge mansions.

"Our intention for everything that we do, is to give people the tools to make a system smart, sustainable but beautiful," says Joanna, "Form plus function."

Actress Eva Longoria, whose son’s playroom features in the show, describes Clea and Joanna as “organisational gurus”.

Meanwhile, Khloe Kardashian has posted about The Home Edit's transformation of her pantry, fridge and freezer on her Instagram stories, so fans will be eagerly awaiting a big reveal in the new series.

Other famous faces — and their homes — expected to appear in the series include Reese Witherspoon, Retta and Neil Patrick Harris.

How much does The Home Edit service cost?

The Home Edit's in-home service is available in 10 US cities, from Los Angeles and San Francisco to Atlanta and South Florida. Full list here.

Prices cost around £140-£190 per hour for the team of two organisers, depending on property location.

The Home Edit also offer Facetime calls from £190 for around one hour which can be broken into two sessions.
