Average house prices: the cost of buying a home in every London borough

House prices across the capital have reached an average of £500,000, according to latest Land Registry figures.

The new report reveals the east London borough of Newham is still the fastest-growing area, with a recorded annual increase of 13.6 per cent. Also in the east, Barking and Dagenham is now the only London borough where the average price is less than £300,000.

The report highlights growth as highest on the outskirts of the capital, with homebuyers pushed to seek more affordable options outside of central London.
