Filming is taking place for Girls’ Night Out, the new movie from the producers behind Diana, last year’s biopic of the late Princess of Wales.
The re-imagining of VE Day in 1945 follows then-Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret when they were allowed out of Buckingham Palace for one night to join in the festivities marking the end of the war.
Starring Bel Powley as Margaret and Sarah Gadon as the future queen, the film sees celebrations take a turn for the worse when the younger princess disappears.
The royal sisters could have done with a discreet bolt hole. Tucked away in a cul-de-sac of mews-style properties running parallel to Buckingham Palace Road, 24 Stafford Place might have made the perfect getaway — and could also be an ideal film location.
The Forties building, now available for offers over £5.2 million with Hathaways, is currently used as offices but has the potential to become a three-bedroom townhouse.
