Police break up brawl between 40 men using ‘swords and bottles’ in Southall

An investigation is under way after a major brawl involving bottles, knives and even swords erupted in west London. 

Officers were called to the fight on King Street, Southall, involving around 40 men just after midnight on Sunday, Ealing Police said.

Two men, in their 20s, who carried swords during the violent confrontation were chased into St Johns Road, the force reported.

They were arrested for violent disorder and affray and remained in police custody on Monday morning.

There were no reported injuries from the disorder.

Detectives said they are continuing to identify those involved.
