Champions League new fixture dates 'set to be confirmed by Uefa' for August

Champions League dates for the remainder of the European calendar are set to be confirmed by Uefa, according to reports in Italy.

There are 17 fixtures left in this season's Champions League campaign, and Sky Sport Italia report that Uefa are putting provisional plans in place to play matches every three days during August.

European football's governing body will this week reportedly hold meetings on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with a view to resuming the Champions League and Europa League knockout stage on August 7.

Games would then be played twice a week, with the semi-finals on held between August 18 and 22 before the final is hosting on August 29.
