Most of the area around Ravenscourt Park in west London falls into a leafy conservation area and has the advantage of being close to Hammersmith's lively town centre and Chiswick's wide-open spaces.
The neighbourhood also has a laid-back, suburban feel, with handsome Victorian villas and terraces plus a pretty garden square that opens onto the park — a family-friendly space with gardens and a lake, a pretty coach house, now popular tea rooms, tennis courts and rather splendid gates.
Parkside Place is a new apartment scheme moments from the park. Two-bedroom flats cost from £899,950. Linden Homes, the developer, is offering to pay stamp duty on reservations made before the end of the month.
Brook Green also borders Hammersmith and is another pretty conservation area. Bentley Place is a new-build scheme of apartments in the guise of classic Victorian terraces.
There is a communal roof terrace too. Prices from £599,995, with Help to Buy available. Call Bellway Homes on 0333 202 5173.
