Malin Andersson’s Love Island co-stars have shared messages of support after she announced the death of her daughter Consy.

Andersson confirmed the tragic news earlier today, when she shared a photo of her month-old baby, who was born seven weeks premature, and told followers that her “angel” daughter was “with [her] grandma Consy.”

The newborn had been named after Andersson's mother, who passed away in 2017.

“Completely in love with you… and my Mum just wanted you to be with her,” she wrote. “Your time wasn’t ready yet.”

“Mummy loves you. I stayed with you each day.. you opened your eyes one last time for me and I saw those beautiful big brown eyes. I’m so sorry I couldn’t do anymore.”

Love Island stars responded to the tragic news with messages of condolence for the 25-year-old and her boyfriend Tom Kemp.

Andersson’s series two co-star Rykard Jenkins wrote: “There’s no words. Consy is in paradise now. Please know you have friends out here and we love you.”

Fellow contestant Kady McDermott said: "I'm so sorry Malin for your loss stay strong I'm sending all my love."

“I am so so sorry for your loss Malin thoughts [and] prayers with you. I can’t even imagine what you’re going through,” series one winner Jessica Hayes said.

“I’m so sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine what you’re going through,” Tyla Carr added.

The reality star and Kemp had been keeping vigil at Great Ormond Street Hospital after Consy’s birth on December 23.

The couple announced their daughter’s arrival in an Instagram post earlier this year.

“She is so beautiful, we are totally in love with her and feel so blessed that she is here but unfortunately due to complications, she is currently being cared for at Great Ormond Street,” Andersson told followers, asking them to respect her privacy at this time.

In a further post, she thanked fans for "the prayers you're sending her way."
