Lillie Square: penthouse perfection at Earls Court

The forthcoming demolition of Earls Court Exhibition Centre will make way for a wave of new homes - starting with this development being built on the former car parking sites that surround the venue.
With its famous cemetery and village-style network of Victorian and Edwardian terraces, West Brompton has a separate identity to bustling Earls Court, the other side of Fulham Road. But huge regeneration on the doorstep is changing the area’s character.

Former car parking sites surrounding Earls Court Exhibition Centre — the Art Deco venue set to be replaced with a new district — are on the West Brompton boundary line, and are the location of the first phase of 212 flats called Lillie Square.

Letting in the light: apartments at Lillie Square are bright and airy, with some featuring floor-to-ceiling glass

This neighbourhood is one of four expected to make up the new estate, and homes were snapped up off-plan, spurring developer Capco to unveil 25 lateral and duplex penthouses with floor-to-ceiling glass and roof terraces. Completion is due in 2016. Prices from £1,575,000. Call 020 7381 9800.

The 77-acre Earls Court masterplan, by starchitect Sir Terry Farrell, envisages 7,500 new homes, offices, shops, a public library, a new high street and a park.
