‘Come up here Lil Pimp!’ Trump introduces rapper Lil Pump by wrong name at final pre-election day rally

Donald Trump invited superfan rapper Lil Pump on stage at his final pre-election rally - but accidentally referred to him as “Lil Pimp”.

At an event in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Tuesday morning, the US President introduced the rapper - whose real name is Gazzy Garcia - to the crowd. 

But he made a slip of the tongue when he called him by the wrong name. 

“I love your sound, I love your music," he told the crowd. 

“And speaking of sound and music and other things - one of the biggest superstars in the world… Lil Pimp!”

As the rapper headed to the stage, Mr Trump, alerted to his error, added: “There he is. You wanna come up here and say something? Lil Pump?

“Does everyone know who he is? You know how big he is? Come up here, that’s a nice hat.”

Lil Pump then addressed the crowd in a MAGA hat. He said: “Hello everybody how you guys feeling? I’ve come here to say Mr President I appreciate everything you have done for our country. You brought the troops home and are doing the right thing. MAGA 202020 don’t forget that!"

Referring to Joe Biden, he added: "And do not vote for sleepy Joe - at all!”

Lil Pump rose to popularity in 2017 with the single Gucci Gang, which peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 before going platinum.

In a selfie video released on Instagram, the rapper promised to leave the US and move to Colombia if Mr Trump loses tomorrow’s election. 

Mr Trump and Mr Biden have been making their last-ditch push for votes in battleground states as their campaigns prepared for post-election disputes that could prolong a divisive US election.

Mr Trump, who is trailing in national opinion polls, continued to attack mail-in ballots, suggesting he would deploy lawyers if states are still counting votes after election day on Tuesday.

"A vote for Biden is a vote for lockdown, misery and layoffs," he told the crowd in Scranton.

In Pittsburgh, Mr Biden told supporters that the country's future rested in their hands.

"When America votes, America is heard. And when America is heard, the message will be out loud and clear: It's time for Donald Trump to pack his bags and go home," he said.

Lady Gaga joined Joe Biden for his final rally as Chrissy Teigen and John Legend performed in support of Kamala Harris.

The Pokerface star tearfully telling the drive-in rally: "Right now it’s time for action it’s time to muster all our energy, every ounce of us. Every ounce of hope and optimism and enthusiasm. 

"Every ounce of fear and frustration and discouragement. Now is the time to show up and vote like this country depends on it because it does.”

Gaga then performed for the crowd changing the You & I lyrics to honour Biden, singing: ‘"Something, something about my cool Pennsylvania guy. There’s something about, Joe, you and I."

Mr Trump has found celebrity support hard to come by. His famous supporters include Lil Wayne, Cheers actress Kirstie Alley and musician Kid Rock.

Kanye West has also been a supporter of the president, though he has since launched his own presidential bid.

Oscar-winning actor Jon Voight, 81, is also a fervent supporter, as is fellow Hollywood star James Woods.
