Bloombsury's £1bn residential renaissance: restored Georgian gem transformed into seven designer flats

Thanks to a £1 billion makeover spearheaded by landlord The Bedford Estates,  a listed Georgian building has been remodelled into seven designer flats, including two ground-floor homes with private garden.

Bloomsbury is enjoying a residential renaissance, not least because of a £1 billion makeover spearheaded by landlord The Bedford Estates.

The upgrade includes reinstating a traditional high street leading towards Russell Square and the British Museum, and enhancing village-like Lamb’s Conduit Street and Store Street. Many of the surviving Georgian buildings are returning from office to residential use.

One of them, in John Street was badly damaged during the Blitz and substantially rebuilt without its historic interior. Still listed, it has been restored and remodelled into seven designer flats, including two ground-floor homes with private garden.

Prices from £1.2 million. Call Hudsons on 020 7323 2277.
