The Hills New Beginnings trailer teases reunion between Audrina Partridge and Justin Bobby

The rest won't be unwritten for much longer...

Release your inhibitions, feel the rain on your skin: MTV has finally dropped a teaser trailer for The Hills reboot New Beginnings, which is set to debut in June.

The network confirmed last year that the noughties reality show, which aired from 2006 to 2010, would be returning, when a handful of original cast members reunited on the red carpet at the VMAs.

According to MTV, New Beginnings is “based on the series that changed the reality TV landscape,” and will “reunite original cast members and add notable newcomers, as they write their newest chapters in relationships, romance and success”.

The trailer revisits memorable moments from the show’s six season run, from Spencer Pratt’s proposal to Heidi Montag to Audrina Partridge and Justin ‘Bobby’ Brescia’s break-up, before promising viewers that “it’s time to start all over again," all to the soundtrack of Natasha Bedingfield's Unwritten.

It then cuts to the present day, with snippets of footage showing returning cast members and new additions to the show, including former OC star Mischa Barton.

Another new scene sees exes Partridge and Brescia reuniting over drinks to raise a toast to being “friends”.

Brody Jenner, Stephanie Pratt, Frankie Delgado, Whitney Port, Jason Wahler and the Pratts’ young son Gunner will also feature in the forthcoming series, alongside new additions Barton and Brandon Thomas Lee, the son of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee.

Original cast members Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari will not be taking part in the show.

A spin-off of earlier series Laguna Beach, The Hills was one of the first ever ‘scripted’ reality shows, and followed the lives and loves of a group of privileged twenty-somethings living in Los Angeles.

The Hills: New Beginnings will air on June 24 on MTV
