A kaleidoscope of colours:British fashion designer Matthew Williamson's hot new furniture collection

Matthew Williamson's new range of bespoke furniture, a collaboration with Nottingham-based sofa manufacturer Duresta, has been inspired by classic and contemporary styles as well as pieces from his own colourful home.

British fashion designer Matthew Williamson is known for his use of bold signature prints and riotous colours on the catwalk and in our homes.

Now, Williamson has turned his hand to luxury fabrics and one-off pieces in a new collaboration with Nottingham-based sofa manufacturer Duresta.

The capsule furniture range showcases the rainbow hues and exotic motifs that have become Williamson's hallmarks ever since Kate Moss and Jade Jagger modelled his debut fashion collection in exchange for some of the clothes more than two decades ago.

The 'Duresta for Matthew Williamson' collection encapsulates the designer's instantly recognisable 'organised-Bohemia' style that's evident throughout his work, from his red carpet looks, to wallpaper collections for Osborne & Little or the Butterfly Home collection for Debenhams.

From elegant boudoir chairs with hand-carved details to a decorative Minnelli daybed, the five new upholstery ranges and unique occasional pieces are inspired by classic and contemporary furniture styles, as well as pieces from the designer's own London home that is filled with treasures from many trips around the globe.

The Duresta for Matthew Williamson collection is available from Harrods.com.
